Mintex Brake Pads

Hi Forum members

Just been looking around on the Mintex website, they state for the 3.0si front pads is product MDB2620.

However, on MTEC website they are stating that MDB1817 is also suitable for it.

I've looked at the dimensions and they are very nearly the same, has anyone used the MDB1817 instead of the MDB2620.

I welcome your advice
 
Not sure which way round the part numbers are but one is probably for the e85/86 3.0si and the other is for the e46 330 models. They should be the same pad as they both use the same calliper and carrier.

In terms of which one to run I’m not sure. What are the differences in measurements? And what’s the price difference as well :rofl:
If one is £20 more than the other you’ve got your answer!

Might be differences in the sliding bracket mounts, or the piston mounts as I'm sure the E39 listed in the application list for the 1817 uses a different caliper to the Z4, E46, E83 etc

You notice they're the same? Just the MDB2620 one seems to have more tolerance on the width dimension. So it's a range rather than one figure.

If I were you I'd go with MDB2620. This is because its got E46 and E85 both listed there under the compatibility :)
