Minor exhaust mod

How raspy is it? I love the idea of a cheeky mod like this, but looking for more volume and bass than rasp.

It’s not annoying in a boy racer/max power, (ask your parents kids.)

The guy said it may change a bit as it settles in ‘so to speak’ and i’m now noticing a good improvement on both bass and volume.
It is subtle, but I really love it, it’s exactly what I was after. The drives home from work at 1am are getting longer and the stereo is on constant mute currently :driving:

Sounds good.

Any idea what diameter of pipe they used?

Sorry, no.
But I can find out if you want me too?

That would great if you don't mind. Just so I can order a stainless steel pipe\sleeve, not sure my local place would have it in stock, so can supply my own.

Right bear with me as I’m useless.

He said 2 inch as that ‘Slides’ in just perfect for the weld.

He said you could go 2 and a 1/4 but would have to drop the exhaust for the welding.

Hope that helps?

I hope you mean 50 mm?
Unless you're jacking the car up a bit :)

OK, so re-read it, and maybe you mean 50cm length? In which case I'll bog off :)

No worries

I had a little alteration to my 23i too, had the dual pipes diverted from twin on L/H side to a single each side then had double mufflers fitted.

Won't that look a bit odd in winter when you've only got smoke coming out one side?

Looks nice, did you just cut the rear bumper to fit and did you do anything extra with the cut ends or did you buy a diffuser or similar?
