Minor dents

Well its happened, spent all day replacing the rear brake pads. What do i spot, no matter how careful i try to be, someone has opened their door and dented mine :headbang:
The only vehicle it could be is my neighbour thats parks next to me in their allocated parking space. I suppose because the covers on somehow they think its 'protected'. Wouldn't mind, but i always park well over on my end space.
What with all the other niggles with the car, somehow i feel i've had my years worth, i've tried it, its a too nice a car, a bit of an expensive luxury.
Think i will go back to an old banger.
Had more fun with an old Vauxhall Chevette and Peugoet 106!
Always feel the cars steering is not the best and spoils the driving enjoyment.

Anyone recommend any dent removal specialists in the West Midlands, not a big dent, its that i just know its there and can't stop looking at it :(
 
If your having problems with the steering Bobbie there are a few things it could be. Most well a lot of us on hear have ditched the RFT tyres. Other things check your control arm bushes week Link on all zeds and all so ARB bushes mine where oval. But first off get the alignment checked and check your tyre pressures and for unusual ware.
 
Don't know if you sorted this but my Evoque got a small dent last week in a car park! Someone opened a door on the rear wheel arch!! :x Luckily no paint damage.

I got Jason from Dent Devils to have a look yesterday. 10 min later and I couldn't even see where it was!! Brilliant work! :thumbsup:

Cost me £65+ VAT (I was pleased but that's not a bad earner for around 10 min!!). £150 at the Land Rover dealer! I had one done 2 years ago on my Z4 E89 and that cost around the same from the BMW dealer. I think they also used an outside company.
 
Having looked again think i might massage it out using a wooden spatular from the inside. Just got to remove the door card.

I would be very careful doing it yourself as its so easy to stretch the steel and make it look 10 times worse, tried it once and its not as easy as you would like to think and made a pigs ear of it. The dent guys are specialists and know what they're doing :wink:

Well had the door interior panel off today. That was an interesting exercise.
The dent to most people would hardly be noticed except i know its there. Turns out the dent is behind the door strengthening bar where it attaches via a torx bolt. Probably the strongest skin area. Had a short session rubbing the area with a wooden kitchen spatula. The metal is surprisingly thick. Just about push the spatula under the bar to reach the spot.Will have another go tomorrow.
 
Have you not seen the hair dryer and CO2 techniques ... Google it, worth a try, some successes, some failures...
 
I have a smal crease on the sill, was hoping, given a warm day, i could flatten that out with an hair dryer.
