Minor alloy wheel refurb - likely cost?

Hi all,

I've about 3-4 inches of kerb scrape on the extreme outer edge of one alloy. It's hardly noticeable but it's beginning to annoy me.

Any recommendations for good refurb companies and how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks in advance!

I recently had my dealer (Rybrook Warwick) take care of a ruddy great scuff I stuck on one of mine - £120+VAT, as I recall, which seemed to be a flat rate as it was the price quoted over the phone without any inspection of the damage. They did an excellent job; the only way you'd know anything had happened was if you really closely inspected the outer edge of the wheel and noticed it had a slightly squarer corner than the others.

That price might be at the higher end, to be fair; originally I intended to take it to a local place until my brother warned me off, saying they did an unsatisfactory job on one of his and were expensive at (I think) £150.

In Norwich it’s £62 a wheel regardless of condition.

I’ve had all 4 done as it’s a 3 day process so might as well 🤷🏼‍♂️

Good relationship with my BMW dealership, Sytner.. believe it or not £50 all in (Inc vat) plus a hire car thrown in for good measure.

Getting the feeling mine saw me coming somewhat! Oh well - I was happy enough to pay it given the prices I'd heard when I asked around family.

I was quoted around £100 by my local mobile repair outfit after emailing photos of the scrape, which was slight.

I now realise that it’s actually hard to see unless you are really looking for it so I haven’t bothered getting it done.

I had one of mine done completely (face and the barrel) by the Wheel Specialist in Bristol for £108. Straight silver colour. no machining.
