Mini Countryman All4 Cooper S - Now collected with pics

Yeah I like the Paceman but it's not been out long enough yet to fall into my price bracket. I think the cheapest are £16-17k at the moment (Cooper S All4).

I'd have asked for my money back Tom. Shocking.

OG: no experience with All4 but they look the business. I'm considering a Clubman S with media pack in near future but probably an older one. Like that quirky wrong-side suicide door and twin exhaust.

I bought my wife a cooper s 2wd with chilli Pack, media pack, chrome exterior pack and black headline it's all black with cream leather lounge leather and beige door cards and the black with alloy rims 18 wheels. Looks very aggressive and it's fun but firm to drive with the run flags been reliable with 32k on the clock its three years old in November. I think it needs big wheels and a mono paint colour otherwise it looks too ugly or boring. Quite a popular car there seem quite a few on the road. The 2wd has cheaper tax and I would never use it in 4wd

Deposit now placed. Light white with anthracite turbo fan alloys, 2011 with 14k miles. Chilli Pack and a few other extras. I wanted media pack, but for the mileage and price I wanted, they were still £2k over budget. No photos yet because it wasn't due into the dealers until yesterday. Should pick it up in 7-10 days time. :driving:

Hhhmmm not a fan of the bigger "minis" at all , dare i say from all the posts above they confirm my perception of being a ladies town car :o my neighbour;s wife also has one :? sorry Og :P i know you'd be as blunt
Did you try any alternative vehicles for comparison or was it All4 or nothing ?

That's quite alright Mr W!

I think they are a bit "metrosexual" but hey, we drive Z4's so we don't let stereotypes bother us! I looked at quite a few alternatives - sensible options like Golfs (but I find them desperately dull), other hot hatches (Fiesta ST etc) but I quite liked the idea of 4WD if I need it married with hot hatch like handling and performance and sensible load lugging. They also hold their value very well too, which was a big plus point.

I recently changed mrs smartbears z3 for a mini clubman, she really likes its mix of fun & practicality, looks nice in white silver as well-it's a cooper which is fast enough for her without the problems the s models can sometimes bring.

I'm anticipating keeping it 4 years at least. It's going to be my workhorse. I may give a cheeky little remap up to 215hp which is all perfectly safe and will give sub-7 second 0-62. Next swap will be replacing the M provided there is something out there that is a) within my budget and b) a definite upgrade. That's at least two years away though.

Hello

Hope all is well .. .we have 2 3rd generation minis (mini one and a mini cooper) both in orange but one has a black roof on the cooper. both great cars they are 3 cylinder turbo engines, both only cost £20 road tax each.

I think the mini one knocks out 101 bhp from a 1.2l and the cooper 138 bhp from a 1.5l. I use the mini one for work and get approx 55 mpg with heavy traffic .. not bad.

But I am looking at a countryman to replace the mini one, interesting to see how you get on .. most people I speak to who own them seem to like them

regards

Congrats on the new motor :) I think they make a good buy and do hold their values against the mainstream although you would have to be slightly insane to buy new compared to regular BMWs :) They're just too expensive for what they are :(

Once I've got my hands on it and lived with it
a bit JB, I'll do a write up.

They can get a bit pricey new Tim, I'll grant you that. It's a lot of car though. Ticks many boxes, which is why they've sold so well (I think they account for about 33% of Mini volume).

On a different note - I've just followed a new 1-series, I reckon they've nailed it now. Really like them.

Its the All4 part that would interest me and would be intersted to see how you get on with it especially once the weather turns.

I haven't really had a good look at the 1 Series LCI as yet, not seen that many on the road upto now, but I'm a little mixed as the fronts improved but the rear looks a little odd but I think thats just down to being used to how mine looks. I will probably look at another M135i next year in Valencia Orange for a change. Winter use is still an issue but outweighed by the engine which for me is a peach, just not sure I could change to an xDrive motor without that engine.

Looks really nice OG, congrats, same as one that parks next to me at work except in silver and I like them, nice and chunky looks.
