I need an economical commuter car and the Mini seems to have good economy and not be the average boring car.
Has anyone got experience of them? Any issues to look out for?
Or suggestions for an alternative?

Sadly it looks like the M will be for sale soon :cry: I love it but it just isn't going to get used enough to justify the costs.
 
My daughter has had 2 but both petrol Cooper S,
I hear good things about the lower diesels, but remember they are a really girly car image. Just look at 99% of the drivers.
 
I work in offices in Media City, Manchester, where the BBC is and overlooking the Coronation Street set, so the area is full of "hipsters" so a girly car would fit right in. Can't be much worse than driving a hairdressers car....

tbh. I'm reconsidering yet again, I've gone round and round thinking about what to with cars, old banger? nissan leaf? mini d? 520d? Headed off to the Mini dealership this morning but got stuck in traffic on the M56, couldn't be bothered continuing in the traffic and whilst I was waiting I pretty much talked myself into keeping the M and car sharing with a workmate.
Something about the Z4 gets under my skin.
