I've read lots of posts about members using Milton to clean their soft tops to prevent the moss/mould from returning. What is best, Fluid or tabs and how much do I use.? :?

Same thing tabs just take longer to dilute and can sometimes leave a slight residue.

Dilution I thin I used about a quarter/third of recommended ratio but mine wasn’t badly marked

Mine isn't bad either, just traces or spots of green mossy stuff. Wasn't sure what is best tabs or liquid. Thanks for the info I'll give it a shot.

Milton is essentially very dilute toilet bleach (sodium hypochlorite). You have to be careful with it as not only does it bleach, it will cause metal to rust excessively.

I've just used some dilute mosskill (which is used for moss, mould, algae and lichen in greenhouses etc). I've been careful to wash it off the rest of the car as I'm not sure if it has any effect on paint, but I wouldn't have thought so.

Been using milton on my roof for a few years now, i tip it straight on a cloth & give the algae a good scrub off. It has never bleached the roof or marked the paintwork.
