As for checking the authenticity of a part that's the flaw, stamping on the inside of the wheel is easy to check, what about the springs, it's not practical to mark them and if you did it would be hard to locate. However the biggest implication, not wishing to alarm anyone, is non standard wheels. I.e the e85 came with 18" wheels maximum, that's an easy spot for anyone fitting 19" wheels even if they are OEM because it was not originally fitted to that vehicle.

and yes you can see the cost rocketing for a MOT :headbang:
