Only use Shell V-power and a mix of commute and B road driving - generally getting about 320-330 miles per tank. Fab considering the performance and smiles the 3.0 provides :D
 
I get around 300 per tank on average which involves start/stop traffic and dual carriage ways.

I did once get 46.8 MPG average on a trip from Somerset to London with my bike on the back though a few months back which was mega impressive as the car was fully loaded and not very aero dynamic, it was incredible boring though and seemed to take forever

Quite a difference then.

Wonder if the tank sizes are the same then between M and non M models. I assumed they would be but the above is too big a difference for it to be???

seem to remember the tank on my z3mr was a measly 40/45 litres not sure on the z4m but dont think it is much bigger
 
I usually get around 300 miles in mine - apart from when I did a Pistonheads Night Run! Speed often "crept" over 100 (kph of course officer)!
Average on the OBC is currently 29.4 mpg which considering the performance is amazing.
I'm sure the range allows more than predicted - my D/D 325Ti has a 63 litre tank and when I got home from collecting it there was allegedly fuel for 19 miles yet it took less than 58 litres to brim the tank.
For some reason every car I have ever owned has a fuel gauge that seems to drop faster the emptier it gets!
Then again when I drive the Z I don't really care. :rofl:
 
3.0i e85 , normally sit around 34mpg even with my heavy foot at lights, 320 minimum upto 350 from a full tank
 
US Gallon and imperial gallon are different

I get between 22 mpg and 31 mpg (~280 to 400 miles per tank 13 US gallons). 22 is like my highway/city and 31 is only highway

Or for Imperial (multiply by 1.465)

So why do I get so few from mine then. This must be a good advert for the 3.0, it's more economical than the 2.5!! :D

On my Z4 MC i am seeing around 260miles on average per tank, which has been as low as 170 miles after a particularly spirited drive :evil: , though think there is room for improvement here :wink: . Only ever run on 99 and always warmed up before hitting the loud pedal.

Would be interesting to get some direct comparisons between the M's and the other 6 cylinder variants.

About this. Maybe a bit less during slow commute weeks. On a hoon... I refuse to even think about it, completely defeats the entire purpose of the car :driving:

I'm lucky if I see close to 200 miles from a tank, regardless of the type of road I'm driving. I do like to ensure that I really enjoy every one of those miles though :evil: :lol:
