Mileage / KM's and use ?

I have a Question. For some members here their cars are second or third cars. Used on nice days or maybe one or two trips a year (if that). So, I guess the majority have very low miles on them (for the build year). But for those that use as a daily or their (weekend) car is up in KM's or Mileage say over 100k plus (but has been maintained) do you have a concern about using it for a long trip? Reason asking is I have a 05 bought used 2 years ago (as a summer weekend car) with 195k on the clock for a song. With very extensive maintenance record.

Serviced at Dealer or certified BMW shop parcel list:
Oil changed every 3-5k
Tensioner pulley
water pump
belts replaced
fluids change regularly
brakes etc kept up
nylon Bushings
Vanos done
both ignition and plug changed at 80k and and again at 150k

What I have done more preventive maintenance (no issues but) as not sure when last done
Disa
Shocks/springs
CCV
Vanos
Clutch just stated to make noise
Valve cover gasket
New ignition and plugs at 200k

My question is given this would you take this car on a long trip say over 500k miles.
Thinking of retirement soon so would like to see the country.
Would you have any reservation taking yous car with say over 100k on a long tirp?

Mine has 118k miles on, including more than 2,000 very enthusiastic miles done in one week in Spain and Portugal last month.I would not hesitate to get in it and drive to the south of France tomorrow.

My Clio has done 150k miles and ditto. I sold my E39 M5 with 140k miles and my Porsche 968 with 162k miles, both in fine fettle.

If you stay on top of maintenance, mileage on the odometer is irrelevant other than for resale price.

Bought my coupe with 151k km on the clock a year ago, ticked it over to 171k last week. It’s been running like a clock, taking me on a 4000km trip a few weeks back. It’s my daily driver and has always worked like a charm. Wouldn’t hesitate to take it on many more trips

I currently have 3x E85 on the drive.
Lowest mileage one is wifey's at 107k. If she told me she wanted to do a 500 mile trip in it I'd give it a service, make sure she had breakdown cover and order in enough pizzas to last until she got back. No qualms at all.

I'd go for it - if anything goes wrong it's just part of the adventure!

I had an E91 3 Series that had done 139K miles when I sold it and would have happily taken it on a road trip.

I don't know if this counts but my E46 did a 230 mile round trip the other week to the NEC with nothing more than making sure the tyre with a slow leak was pumped up. And a couple of months earlier I did 400ish in a day to collect a trailer for a friend of mine.

2004 320d. Oil changed as per the computer (18k intervals) with whatever BMW spec oil is cheapest (Halfords or Triple QX.)

Mileage currently 276,000. The first owner did 127k in 3.5 years, I've done the rest. Still on the original clutch. And turbo and injectors.

And the swirl flaps are still in there too.

BMWs make ganiter look tricky and unstable, frankly.
