Milage

I am looking at purchasing a 2003 Z4 30i with 177,000 miles. It’s very clean, good price, but I am really concerned with the high miles. What kind of milage should be expected from these cars?

Well first off, welcome to the forum.

A 2003 3 litre Z4 will have the same engine as the E46 330i and plenty of those seem to rack up that sort of mileage, so if you are happy with the car's condition, history and price I wouldn't be put off by the mileage.

There is a poll on here and there are 5 forum members with E85/E86 Z4s that have done over 250,000 miles, but there isn't any details on which models they have. Anyway here is a link to it:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=103195

Good luck, whatever you decide.

Welcome to the forum. The engine s can certainly do those miles if service d properly. Hopefully someone can advise on what suspension parts there should be bills for at that mileage. For sure plenty will either have been changed or will need changing, if the car is to drive like a sports car. :driving:

Welcome to the forum, check that it's had regular oil/filter changes and it would be nice to see a wad of receipts for work done on the car over the years.
When you work it out, that's less than 12k a year in mileage, so not to bad

By the way, what is a good price for a high miler? At some point im gonna need to sell my zed, its tidy enough, but its done 154k now! Was thinking about £2-2.5k might be about right?
