I've popped the question to my good lady and (unfortunately?) we're going to be getting married next year. Having bought and furnished a house recently I'm already on the ropes as far as finances are concerned so it looks like the Z4 has to go :( to pay towards the wedding. I'm sure I'll be back in a Z4 in a few years.

I'm not sure whether to try and sell it with the mods or not? Can you guys give me an idea what its worth with and without? Be nice, its a beauty!

2008 2.0i M Sport with ~27000 miles
Chunky sport steering wheel, sport heated leather seats and sport suspension.
1 service book stamp at 1300 miles in 2012 with brake service, I've done oil & filters myself every year since and could send it for inspection 2 if it would help?

Mods are in my SIG but I have the original bumpers/skirts/rf tyres to put back on if I can get more cash in standard(ish) form?

I just bought from a stealer a 2008 3.0ltr auto si roadie with 26500 miles for £12850. It has sat nav, heated seats and full BMW service history.

Does this give you an idea for the ball park you should be in?

I should add, sorry you are going down this route, but it does get easier a few years down the road :poke:

I can't help on the value, but I can say that sending it in for the Inspection II might improve your chances. Some people don't trust the home-mechanics eye - I'm not saying for a minute you won't have done it properly and looked after it, but that's just some people's attitude.

Have a look on PH/here/AT/Ebay to see if you can spotted modded cars that have been sold to see if you derive a rough value.

I'd list it for sale with the mods personally, and only if you're having trouble shifting it remove them and re-list. If the mods aren't damaged you may get more money that way anyway, it just depends if you can find a buyer for them.

Thanks, I'm seeing £10000 for a standard 2008 (58) 2.0i M-sport with under 30k miles and full service history. I will put it back to almost standard and sell on the removed upgrades. Going to try for £8000 without the service and see how that goes, if theres no interest then I'll send it for inspection II and then raise the price accordingly.
I don't think there would be a problem "finding" a buyer for M bumpers and Aero skirts :)

Not sure what it's worth. But been in the same position your in now! The flip side I now have a zed had a wedding nice holidays life is good  cars come and go hopefully the soon to be Mrs Stlymch won't.
