Might be working just outside York for most of the summer months if a new job contract comes through.

I presume its an easy enough commute from Leeds, and that there's more going on there. Probably look at renting/flatsharing, but not knowing it very well, can any locals recommend the nice areas to live in and places to avoid?

Also, just interested to see who else is based up there :D
 
I'm based in Harrogate, fairly close to both. Personally I would prefer to live in York or Harrogate than Leeds, but if you're a raver then Leeds is prob best. Either way, the easiest way from Leeds to York is the train, York is horrible for parking (unless it's provided, of course).
 
yeah, out of the two, York is much nicer than leeds - its a good city to live in too...

lots to see and do, and some great driving roads..
 
I'm a 25 minute drive from Leeds. York is a nicer place, but Leeds has great nightlife and shops :thumbsup:
