Midwest for Holidays (through MD, PA, W. Va, OH, IN, IL)

I am going to Rock Island, Ill from DC for Thanksgiving possibly and would like info on speed traps or where to be more vigilant. I know don't speed and I won't have to worry about tix.
My route:
MD: 270 to 70 to 68 into W. Va
W. Va: 68 to 79 into PA
PA: 79 to 70 into back into W. Va to OH (I could also take 70 out of MD to PA Turnpike @ Breezewood. Take PA TP to W. Va then OH.
OH to Indianapolis: 70
Indianapolis to Rock Island: 74 to 80

If you think taking through PA 76 to 80 all the way across is better, let me know. I did both on google maps and the time diff is minimal. The only diff is $25 in tolls.

I used to live in MD and often drove the MD - MI route regularly. Once I drove 70 W in PA for Thanksgiving a few years ago and the PA police were everywhere. The trick to driving PA, especially Breezewood to OH is the speed limit changes along the way. OH turnpike speed limit is 65. I drove it 4 times in the past 13 months & saw several OH police. They are tricky and I no longer speed through OH, especially with MI plates. Set cruise to 73 and they don't bother you.

Pa State Police will allow up to 10 MPH over a speed limit of 55 or 65. I usually just set the cruise control at 8 mph over the limit. However, in PA traffic and especially truck traffic will often force you to slow down below the limit. If you are not on the PA turnpike or Interstate highway beware of small towns that have very low speed limits like 25 or 30 mph. They are likely speed traps.

If you take I70 through Ohio you'll be passing right by my house just east of Columbus. I70 is mostly 65mph. I also just drive it at 73mph and have never been bothered. Try to schedule your trip through Columbus so as to avoid rush-hour. I70 goes directly through down town and it gets really backed up at that time of day.
