Not trying to jump on your thread lux, Just thought it was an idea I will post a separate thread on driving into wales on sunday to meet the others for the north wales hoon and hopefully see you at the next midlands meet,

No it's fine. I just wanted to say that I'm only in for local hoon so it didn't put people off coming thinking everyone was going off to Wales. Although I don't know if you will have time to pop by for a coffee what time are you meeting in Wales?

Not sure its early days yet will look into it but I would think it would be early-ish start to get there, I have been on a few runs up there around where they are meeting they are great roads, Will let you know if there's a chance of popping in, Cheers Tim.

i'll be here too, hopefully nicer weather this time!

EDIT: Lux, is it maybe worth planning a little driving route before hand so everyone knows where we are going etc?

Sent you a pm!

Plop me on as a maybe as well lux :)

It's my birthday on the Wednesday so I've got a bit of holiday around then. I'll check with the O/H that we aren't supposed to be somewhere but otherwise should be onboard.

It'd be a shame to miss as I'm so close.

Ahhh man!!! It's Mrs D's birthday. No way am I getting out of that...although I may need to escape if all her friends are turning up.

:headbang:

Hopefully yes, but might be in something different by then if all goes to plan. i`ll let you know what it is if/when it happens.

ah... this may be a little too far over for me, at least a couple of hours drive just to the start. What route are you guys planning to take?

I was hoping to take everyone down to the pro drive test track (which is just down the road from Knowle) to watch one of their driving experience days, but unfortunately they don't have anything on that day. Also Stratford has a half marathon on, so I think we should keep clear of that.
If we have a coffee and a bacon sarnie at the pub first we could all go to Warwick down the lanes and head to a park (for another coffee) as pubs will be busy Sunday lunch time and we might not all get in a pub car park!!??
Or does anyone else have any other ideas as I'm a hoon virgin and would welcome any other thoughts?

thought I'd wait to see replies on this, but may as well bump to the top.

As lux said, Stratford is a definite no.

also being a hoon noob, im not sure how much driving people would want to do.

I suggested Warwick to lux, its about a 25 minute drive tops, local people will know it has a very nice park with lots of parking spaces and somewhere to get a coffee, but local people know that if its a nice day, it will get busy fairly early (and im not sure id want to be in the park if its not a nice day)

we're not really in a mountainous area, so im pretty sure scenery isn't going to be a strong point.

does anyone else have suggestions on possible 2nd destinations (thats if anyone wants a second destination)

I think you need to try harder and organize things on a date that works next time Lux!!! :poke:
