Midlands meet 17th August 2014 - Static Show

Total of 51 cars attended but there was 46 cars there for the majority of the time great turn out, need to make next August even bigger !!!

I'd like to say it was a pleasure to have the two lads travel with the Midlands meet regular guys
TomHitmanHatton, a really nice young fella that was like a rabbit caught in the headlights when Mac asked him if he wanted a sound mod!! Hopefully I looked after you enough with that one with me asking 'what's a sound mod?' so it was me looking the newbie not you  Even with you being 21 years old I was more than happy for you to be my rear man (ooooerr missus!) on the way home
NathanZ4C, I'm glad you managed to get your key in the ignition in the end  following you home was great, the arse end of the coupe is lovely  and your exhaust popped and crackled through the narrow village streets - I did notice that whenever we went past a group of boys, you pressed the loud pedal a bit more than normal....show off!!

....oh, and dr_john, I have a soft spot for your better half!

It was my first meet but what a cracking one it was. Very well organised. Although I nearly didn't make it past Tamworth :( all seems well now though thankfully. Oh and was it me or did it seem very slippy on the way out of the venue when the guy rushed us out. My back end kicked out and I thought I must have been a little pedal happy, only to look in my rear mirror and see the next 2 cars out beat my accidental drift attempt ;)

Some fantastic examples about and it was good to get some more ideas for my endless list of future mods.

Thanks for the kind comments. The cars very new to me but there's a lot still left to do by the looks of it. Good to meet a good friendly bunch of people

It's ever so hard not to hit the poppy pedal *blush*

Also my first meet and I thought it was brilliant. And yes I was a rabbit stuck in headlights although, it is now on the car and sounding great (I have posted 3 questions regarding the sound generator). Many thanks for a great meet and hope to do it again some time.

Yeh my arse end was sideways behind you :D

My first Z4 meet. Really enjoyed it. Also the journey down with Carl (csl1973).

As a Coupe owner, very entertaining watching the 'Roadster Rush' when the rain came down

Hey g-l-b-t....were you in the blue Alpina parked next to the cool looking silver E89? (should have asked Sunday really!! )

Edit: Just looked at your posts and don't think that was you! You have a grey E85 i think?.....so who was in the light blue Alpina??
Jesus, I'm confused

Was cool looking back in the mirror and seeing a coupe right behind. Need to go to another z meetsoon and some other meets. Will keep you in mind when I do another Welsh run. That's if you are up for it.
