Okay guys, had a long think about this and the Scottish meet the following weekend - money and time means I can only do one, and even then only if a couple of things go to plan this week. Given it is school holiday time, much as I would love to meet you all I have decided (if possible) to go to Scotland with Wee Bing and go for a hoon in the Borders / Northumbria, combined with seeing my Dad and maybe doing some fishing... So I won't be coming along this time, but will do my utmost to get to a Midlands meet at some point soon :thumbsup:
 
Sorry guys I've just got too much on my plate with my recent house purchase and also an exam to revise for so can't make it. When life calms down will try and make the next one. Have a great time :thumbsup:

Yeah I'd love to visit the mill, have a natter and some scran, spend some time poking round others' cars etc., but that won't cut it for Wee Bing... Shame, as I was looking forward to giving Lux some abuse in person :(
 
Just spotted this.

Considering turning up, do have plans in the evening though and its 2.5~ hours each way so need to work out times etc. and would have to bail early.

Edit: Spoken to those about the evening plans and will have to pass on this due to timings. Will try make another :)
 
I haven't been to a meet in yonks but a strong possible for this one if the weather is decent. Will decide on the day if that's ok?
 
----- SOUTH BIRMINGHAM CONVOY (M42 J5) -----

Getting close to this now so thought I would firm up plans for a convoy from Knowle which is a small town just off Junction 5 of the M42 (the location of a couple of previous midlands meets)

The Plan: Meet at the Toby Carvery in Knowle at 9am, time for a chat and a drink and something to eat. Aim to set off at about 10am with arrival at Shepshed around 11-11:30 latest. Edit: we are popping into the services jct10 m42 to pick people up if people would prefer to meet us there, Ranski will be there and we should pass at around 9:30 the latest)

What's the route for this? I'll be trekking on the M40 and M6 from London to the north and stopping by in Oxford and Birmingham along the way...

I think me and Machine Monkey are going to meet up at junction 10 (M40) services and travel up to Liam-O convoy to the meet. I'm sure your welcome to join us if your going that way.
