Woots - If you've not been it's an interesting get togther of all sorts of exotic and classic cars. Yuo can expect a few hundred from the bizarre to the awesome. Many clubs turn up and put on a bit of a display and you can go around the museum for free, which is really interesting stuff.

Downside for you is that it's a breakfast meet and people are on their way home by late morning, so not really a day out including a drive after.

Great to see you there

hmm 150 miles, almost a 3 hour trip in a rental....a crappy rental. With a turning radius worse than my small pickup back home. I'm blind yet again, what time do people start showing up?

Also, I see the address, but what about a house number as my sat-nav asks for that when I put in a post code

No House number - it's a large airbase and museum.

It is a long trip for a short meeting as noted to Woots above.

People start to roll in from 8.00 onwards, most 8.30 to 9.30. Majority gone by noon

Yeah, they had a few of those in California that I attended. I'm not worried about long drives so long as I'm driving the Z4. So since I won't have the car I'll hit up the next one.

I can see that. The next one should be proper British weather too... Non of this Late Summer we've been treated to of late..

Ah, can't make it to this one either - sitting at anchor in the middle of the Solent :(

If anybody wan't reminding what it is like take a look here... http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10834

From the Orgainiser - in case anyone wants to turn up.
I'll be there

It's nearly that time again! Tomorrow's meet is looking to be yet another busy one and we are fully booked for visiting car clubs with a promise of a large variety of interesting cars!
The Porsche Club of GB will be the main club for this month meet and there should be a display of around 20 Porsches in the main area.
Please try and arrive on site between 08:30 and 09:15.
Also, please remember that there is a £2.00 car park charge (nothing to do with us!), but it's a free event and the museum is free as well so you can't really moan as it's less than the price of a pint! There are 5 pay machines located around the Museum Car parks.
Please also note there is a 15mph speed limit on site which must be adhered to for safety reasons.
Anyone seen speeding will not be allowed to any further events and will jeopardize the right for thier club to attend in the future as well.
for those who are coming tomorrow, see you nice and early in the morning!

All the best

Coxy

Anyone interested there's a youtube video of the event:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6doFxRAriCs

Lots of neat cars mixed in with a good splattering of sheds, but that's half the fun :D
I think my favoutite is the soft top Citroen DS - way too cool, but a couple of the old Porsche looked very good

I seem to have been captured on film at 3min 45sec mark

You know....If I would have went there wouldn't of been any drunk posts (and one deleted from the gallery section-yes I do remember posting it!) on saturday night. Then think of how eneventful ya'lls day would of been without reading those posts!

Another meet this Sunday. Any one going? :driving:

Isn't it about time we had a banner on here  :

I'm stuck up North so can't come. Would have liked to see the new car however Breaker.
It would be good to get a banner on the site!

Might try and make Sunday if the weather isn't too bad. Be worth it to see if Breaker actually drives his baby with the top down. :poke:
