Mid-box delete or custom backbox questions?

Had my 2006 2.5 N52 since last August time. Still love the car and I'm considering a mid-box delete to get a bit more of a fruity soundtrack from it. Don't want to annoy the neighbours but fancy something just a little bit more from the tone.

I have read that a mid-box delete is worth looking at as it gives a nicer noise than stock but doesn't drone as much as the back box delete can especially on constant throttle openings such as long motorway journeys. Just wondered what peoples experiences were of mid-box deletes? Does anyone have any video clips at all?

Could go down the road of a replacement custom backbox I suppose which obviously gives you the ability to return to stock fairly easily compared to the mid-box delete but I'm unsure. I'm also planning on fitting a sound resonator if I can pick up the parts readily enough as the 2.5 didn't come with the same tubing/pipes as the 3.0 did as far as I am aware so its not just a case of removing the foam piece and away you go.

Finally, can anyone recommend somewhere to speak to regarding a mid-box delete or perhaps a custom backbox? Preferably in Scotland for the delete option, although a custom backbox for a Z4 could be shipped and fitted by myself if needed.

Cheers all.

Cheers guys. How do you like the noise of the mid box delete? What did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

What did you have done and how much?

Just had midbox delete on my Z4 sounds really good not overly loud and no droning. There's a video on YouTube, type in Ellis fabrications z4
