Costco are doing their '25% off when you buy 4' tyre promotion again.

Sample sizes/prices, before/after discount are:
  • 235/40r17 £183/£137
  • 245/40r18 £214/£160 (front size I want to try)
  • 255/40r17 £185/£139
  • 255/40r18 £276/£207
  • 255/35r18 £220/£165
  • 275/35r18 £275/£206 (rear size I want to try)

Prices include VAT, fitting, nitrogen inflation

Blimey - is that all?

Last tyre I replaced was £400 - PS2 265 35(ish) 19

This was at a dealers though and was a bit urgent but was better than the £540 that I was quoted to begin with (for cup tyres as it turns out).

Is that the regular tyres or the runflat ones?

That's the prices for non-RFs - however the 25% off applies across the Michelin range.

Was about to recommend event tyres who I always use but I haven't needed tyres in a while so checked the prices and they're up to £300 for a rear now. :o

Think I might well change to Goodyear Asyms or Falkens next time around. On the plus side event tyres now supply either of those in the sizes I need.

The current Costco offer is dependent on you taking out Executive membership which is about £50 on top of your normal membership. I've just bought a set of 19" PS2's and the price worked out quite well even with paying the upgraded membership, however, their Michelin prices aren't as competitive as they used to be and without the discount they can be beaten hands down by the likes of Elite Tyres who come close to the discounted Costco price.

The Executive membership can be cancelled at the subscription renewal time if it doesn't suit you. And watch the buggers with your wheels, I saw them treat some wheels with utter disdain whilst I was in there.

Didn't realise they'd brought in the requirement for a higher level of membership, as last time I got 4 tyres they simply gave me the 25% off - assumed the leaflet was claiming it was the same

Ah well, I suppose for £30+vat for a saving of £100-£200 will still be worth it

Wonder what else you get with the Executive membership (besides the 2% cashback I've just seen - so that's another £10 saved).

ETA: just found out my mate in Brum has a Executive card, so he's willing to use his for me

Just got my latest Costco voucher book through and they're offering 25% off 4 Michelin tyres WITHOUT the need to be an Executive member.

Offer valid from 08-Jun to 05-Jul.

I haven't got the book through yet but the tyre department at Costco told me today that the new offer was for 20% off so 25% is good news as I need a new set for the wife's car.
