Michelin offer at Camskill

So Camskill they have lost me as a future customer.
I ordered first some Goodyear tyres for front of my car.
Couldn't supply rears so i sold on the Goodyears to forum a member.

So i bought 2 sets of Michelins from them, with offer of £24 refund per 2 pairs, so £48.
Great would pay for fitting.
Guess what, they won't pay out because i had the tyres delivered to my works address as i'm not at home to take delivery during the day.
Even though they can see the tyres were paid for on a personal card, not a business card.

I will contact Michelin head office and tell them it is a scam and fraudulent offer.

Is that offer not run by Michelin so don't think it's got anything to do with Camskill in fairness? Michelin process and pay those cashback offers IIRC.

Comes only with Camskill name in supplier.
Might be other suppliers but my communications have been from Camskill.

Yes exactly, it's a promotion run by michelin and they decide whether to pay out. I've used it a few times, even without the extra discount camskill are usually very keenly priced with Michelin.
Sounds a bit unfair this case so I'd be taking my grief out with Michelin uk, its not Camskill's decision.

FWIW I always try and buy my tyres from Camskill. Pick up the phone and they will answer with good advice usually, and it's UK stock. Try doing that with Openo, Blackcircles etc etc

Well after a phone call.......can't help was reply......but i explained a lot, like where it's delivered being work, tyre shop or the Moon.....doesn't matter.
Even after a new email said it wasn't a personal car !! Well any number plate checker will tell you...
They have now agreed to pay out :D
After i sent email to Michelin.

Got 4 new tyres for the ID with the £100 cash back from JustTyres. Works out a very good price compared to the terrible Continentals that were on the car and lasted 15k miles.
 
Finally paid out for one pair.
Deal is one cashback per purchase per car...in the small print.
So if you need 4, buy 4 all at once...
 
Good point, wasn't aware of that. I did buy all 4 in one go as I hate having tyres replaced as every shop seems to damage alloys
 
I really detest the cashback offers, just make your tyres cheaper to start with.

I've got no problem with camskill, but am very unlikely to buy michelin tyres because of their pricing model.
 
Yes, cashback are the worst as they never pay out until you chase. Had that before with a Canon printer. I just put in a reminder in the diary for 2 months time to not forget about it. They rely on people not submitting, and then not chasing the payment.
 
So having told me they are only paying out for 1 pair.........
Now they say they are paying out for the second pair.........
