Mice around engine bay

That would make sense. I guess that leads to the cabin filter beneath the glovebox?
I'll take that out tomorrow and check its not been chewed by the mouse/mice.
Do you know if anywhere between what is pictured and the cabin filter there is a plastic grate/grille/mesh which would stop mice getting to the cabin filter?

Took it out this morning, got to be a bloody contortionist to properly see what you're doing!
Filter was not chewed up or anything so luckily I don't think they were coming through there. I have ordered a new one though as the old one was a little collapsed and looks like it hasn't been changed in a number of years.

OMG! - I hope the peppermint spray holds up because if you haven't put the old one back you've left a hell of a hole for them into the cabin :lol:

Don't worry, I temporarily put the old one back and put the plastic cover back over it, so there is no way they can get through there. I am pretty sure the one I saw has scarpered as I couldn't find sign of it anywhere and I looked high and low. I did take it for a rather sporty drive at the weekend too, so hopefully scared the
out of any mice left! 
Also, there were no mice in the traps I left in the engine bay, which is good news.
