Can anybody tell me or point me in the direction of whether a car with a none MFSW can be easily upgraded to a functioning MFSW. :)

Really easy just need a covert kit from BMW about £8 and take around 30mins top to fit plenty of instructions available done mine a couple of weeks ago any questions please don't hesitate to ask

Ok found one on ebay refoamed and leathered with paddles(mine is paddles) do you have a guide for the install of the convert kit?

Sure instructions were in the bag if not you tube or google it and there are step by step instructions

Only two wires to connect hardest part is taking the air bag off make sure you disconnect the battery and wait for 30mins to be safe then put screw driver flat head in the two holes in top sides of air bag push down there are clips in there tricky but doable as I said loads of instructions on you tube and other threads regarding this out of 10 this is a three install good luck op

I'm sure the paddles can be swapped over? Kinda like steering wheel plastics?

Have you done anything on this yet? Be nice to see your how to... for us SMG's...

Got to wait until i can get the wheel first before i look at attempting it. Will shout for help when i get it  :)

I don't know if the paddles can be swapped over, I assume you don't have M sport wheel from factory? Actually wiring in the retrofit loom is quite simple, it comes with a pair of good quality scotchlocks and a ready made pin. The easiest way to get to the LCM loom is to take off the wheel and take out the instrument cluster.

Nope, it's a standard Zed steering wheel. Mines the same, no steering wheel controls and the paddles at the back.

The paddles are integrated into the steering wheel but I assumed you could strip everything down if you needed to?

If you got a MFSW can you not strip that down? Are some components integrated into the wheel permanently?
