Have finally got around to removing the trim from my steering wheel to refurbish it as it was covered in little digs and scrapes in the rubberised coating. I remembered this stuff from my model making days: http://www.emodels.co.uk/plastic-kits/modelstrip-plastic-model-paint-stripper-modstr01-p-17270.html and thought I'd give it a go on the plastics.
I wasn't expecting it to take them back to bare plastic but it did a fantastic job of removing the rubberised coating leaving a satin black finish ready for a light sand and prime. I'm undecided on whether to spray them satin black or aluminium/silver to match the dash and door grabs though?
