MFSW broken plastic tabs

I took my secondhand MFSW apart VERY carefully, but as suspected there are broken tabs and locators. Not worried too much but would like to get those centre spoke screw fixings back in so the T20 torx screws will re-engage once I've refurbished the lot.

Question: which glue would you recommend - or - would you attempt to weld it back together using a soldering iron and some spare trim plastic? Seen a few videos on this subject and is appealing due to final strength of the bond.

Hi Inkey$
Been enjoying following you project diary - great stuff
Don't know if this might help, but link to my thread on 'plastic lug repair' which worked for me and is still going strong :)

Thanks for this and the kind words, Mojito.

The original plastic location nuts seem to have a slot in them to remain in place when screwing back together.

Mine still seem to locate in those slotted parts okay, so I could be lucky and get away with epoxy, but if not this is extremely useful info.

Just ordered a set of mixed aluminium rivet nuts. Figured they might be more malleable to re-angle. £7 from Amazon.

Always good to have a backup plan....especially when it's only £7 :) Fingers crossed you get away with just epoxy.

I used "Henkel LOCTITE® EA 9309.3NA" it's an aerospace structural adhesive. You can buy it in a 25 gram or 50 gram individual package or in larger quantities.
