Metal Tyre valves seized

Just bought this car and this is really quite pathetic but I have two tyres with metal caps on the valves that are seized solid.
New valves will be fitted on saturday but in the meantime I cannot check the tyre's pressure
It would have taken a small touch of grease or copperslip to avoid this
I do not even think themetal caps look very nice
It is just a headsup for those like me that did not realise that this could be a problem

Happened to me on my last Z4 with the metal caps from BMW; stick to plastic now

Not only that but the local chavs have a nasty habbit of nicking the metal caps. Plastic for me too.
