Message saying roof not locked

Hello,
Got in the car tonight, started it and got a message saying roof not locked. Thing is, the roof hasn’t been touched for weeks. Cycled it open and closed again, got the message saying roof operation completed, turned off and then restarted the car and no message. This has happened occasionally, every couple of months or so under the same circumstances. I am suspecting a sticky micro switch perhaps. Anyone else seen this please?

Never happened to me but have locked the car in the garage overnight and the following morning the windows were half down which is worrying

Luckily that's not as bad as finding them half up, now that is a real problem.

The windows half way down thing happened to a BMW Mini we had in 2008. Dealer was aware of this issue and it was a software fault that kept track of the window motion. A software update was available and that fixed it.

Cheers  If it happens again I will take it in and see what they say

Never had that, and if it did, I would book it into BMW as they will have a lot of which switch is playing up.
