Mercedes Servicing (Main Dealer)

I've been looking at a GLA 250 to replace my VW Tiguan so I started to research running costs such as servicing

Looking at the service plan on line it's going to cost £32 per month for 3 years (for 3 services).

Is this in line with what other Merc owners are paying? Seems an awful lot for a pretty standard car.

Could understand it if I was going for the GLA45 but this is a 200bhp crossover.
 
Probably not that far away but I would try a different dealer and get a comparison.

I have just got a C220D estate on lease and not really looked at the servicing costs. Love this car so I need to see where is most competitive as I have a feeling I am going to put some miles on it.... :D

Is that the new shape C Class ? The wifey has been looking at the new coupe as her next car.

FWIW by way of comparison my Smart Fortwo diesel is £23 a month on their service plan. The A45 AMG is going to be £36 a month.
 
OP, I have previously looked into the Mercedes Service Care Plan and opted to take it out. It actually worked out slightly cheaper than using an independent merc specialist. Like the majority of dealers they will try and sell you additional works i.e. brakes, however this can be done by yourself or a merc specialist.

The positives with the plan includes all servicing and additional works such as spark plugs, tranny fluid and nav updates. I have reviewed the new service care options and it seems if your car is under 12 months old, it will be £24 per month for 3 services where your annual mileage is less than 15K. If your car falls outside of the 12 months, it increases to £32 at mileages up to 15K.

It maybe worth building a rapport with a known mercedes specialist who has access to the mercedes digital servicing database (DSB) as they can register your service on the system as there are no stamped books anymore. It could also be marginally cheaper and you will be able to liaise with the mechanic who actually works on your car.

It is worth noting, Mercedes have their own forums which includes MB Club UK & MB Owners Forum with the later having a specialist finder. I hope it all works out and it would be interesting to note where you are located in the UK as I may know one or two specialists. :thumbsup:

Yes. New C220D AMG Line. What a car, feels really solid and I am enjoying the drive compared to the Volvo V60 I swapped it for. Airmatic suspension seems to overcome any issues that 19" run flats would cause.

Complete con imo the Mercedes A - B service regime :wink: works out far more expensive than BMWs service set up of oil - ins1 - oil - ins2 if running a like for like car / miles
If happy with the monthly figure & whats included Dan then at least you know beforehand what the on costs will be
Autobox ? Ask what miles it needs servicing at :? they had my dad over for approx £400 on top of the scheduled A or B costs i think around at 32k ?
Remember seeing the invoice was over £800 when i sold the car for him & that was just service stuff :o
