Always get the new SL confused with the G29 TBH. BMW (and MB) lacking imagination and making 'generic' looking cars IMHO.

I was walking across a car park yesterday and there was a current 3/4 series parked next to an early E90, both nose out. Now I've always felt that the E90 was a retrograde step after the E46, and the facelift did replace almost the entire nose, but, by 'eck, the new one was catastrophically awful by comparison. Like that Merc it seemed to be a collision of a million ideas many shared with other makes.
