Mercedes-Benz Part numbers

Shot in the dark here but...

If we want to find Part numbers we have access to a seachable database via the realoem website or bmwfans. My question is, is there anything similar for Mercedes?

Although you can buy the info (service disk or whatever it is) on Ebay. Is it for your mum's SLK?
 
yup... her heated seat base has packed up and dealer quoting about £700 to replace :o

she has found one on ebay but I wanted to check the part number for her.
 
Spooky, I had mine replaced under warranty about 4 weeks ago, it seems to be a common fault.

This guy here has the access to the info, so I can ask if you send me the Ebay link, I presume your mum isn't on SLKworld :D
