Isn't this forum for us all to talk about Z4's???????????? :?

"The Lounge - Discuss anything non Z4 related here"

I appreciate this is a car forum, and our cars are the common thing that bought us all here but this is the area for shits and giggles. There's stuff that has wound me up, I just take the general advice to click the "next thread" and move along. This place is like the best pub, come here for the beer, stay for the banter

If it was Carol would not have any input! :fuelfire:

Oh such funny wit. Let me stitch my sides up.
I don't have a whole lot to input about zeds as I have an E89 and most of the modding, problems etc are with E85/6's. anything to do with E89's I help with if I can.

Here you go...have a read of this..........

Yes don't stop posting, As your extensive list of how to mods is second to none! and every one i see (overtake) in a E89 is a girl. :poke:

Let's not make stuff personal. Differences of opinion is absolutely fine and half of what makes the forum tick. As soon as it starts getting malicious, in my opinion it's crossed an unacceptable line...

Carol and I haven't seen eye to eye on some things, likewise Bigdog and I disagree a lot over guns. passionate debate has ensued but never has it lowered to personal insults and I for one would appreciate it if it didn't go that way here

Just sayin'...

Thank you Stuart. Well said. There's absolutely no need for it.

Iv had some quite indepth and somewhat heated debates on here..but the jokes page always brings a smile to my face, and when my son was run over and it looked like the worst..i got loads of support on here. Its a great forum and new comers like Carol are the life blood and keep the place fresh..it also gives the knowledgable old timers someone to pass on tips and experience to. So Carol, you keep up the post count, and post about anything you want...i havent even got a Z4 anymore but i still come on here because it feels like a community that i like being part off.

Ahhh but the thing is Stuart, when someone posts something that doesn't fall withing the general banter or concensus then certain people turn it around and make something out of it. Like I've said nothing rude or malicious has been said on this particular thread and look how its turned out.

If I don't like something then I may post about it, if certain individuals don't like it then tough titties. What I don't like is when people are accusing others if being rude and spoiling it for others when its nothing of the sorts. There are no keyboard warriors just people expressing their opinion.

The irony is the people who are bleating on about it are the ones who don't follow their own advice :)

And your point exactly is?

Tim.
Just read this. Sorry but IMO it stinks of forum snobbery. I used to frequent the Z3 site, found it to be good for info on the cars and enjoyed my time there, but reading that thread from you Tim. Sorry mate but that's schoolyard antics - at best.

Ah yes, Zroadster.net. My first introduction into Z forums in 2003 before z4um started.

Used to attend quite a few meetings from there, but for some reason the forum shied away from Z4 owners and became a Z3 forum only really. When it went down a year or so ago it seemed to implode under infighting so it seemed.

Healthy debate boils over sometimes. The more adult members get that and either back off or apologise when something is taken the wrong way. There's no tone of voice or body language online, only the much used smiley/emoticon.

The way this topic is heading, maybe everyone needs to back off and count to 100, then put themselves in the other persons shoes as it were...

It's just a bit of fun in the lounge, no obligation to participate by anyone.

Theres no snobbery intended, I've been on the ZRoadster site since 2008, its a great site with great members always willing to help, it probably just got on my goat at the time that someone should post on here about the other site and trying to compare the two which is unecessary. Will hold my hands up probably not best form on my part but this site and the ZRoadster.net are completely different in so many ways  Think you get my drift :)
