Hi Guys is this a common issue & is it difficult to replace especially for the display

Looks like someone has used something a bit too aggressive to clean them.

BMW only sell complete instrument clusters - expect to pay around £1100.

Same with the nav screen, about £2600 from BMW - parts are not available.

Maybe there is a small company out there that specialises in repairing clocks etc? Or a breakers?

Oh…as discussed seems a victim of a chemical attack..

The F10 nav screens had/have an anti-reflective coating that can end up looking scratched.
With some mild plastic polish it's possible to strip it all off and have a pristine screen again. You can then add a screen protector if wanted.

That looks very similar.




I don't have an 'after' shot in situ as it doesn't bother me anymore :lol:

Reality is I clean & wash the car myself, interior always wipe only with damped cloth that's it

My cars instrument cluster apart, never noticed the orange bit is speckled.

I've seen similar damage cause by fumes from air fresheners.
