Melbourne with Walnut

I kinda like the way the walnut breaks up the interior colors with the black. I'm wanting to reupholster some things in mine to do this, this is a bit too orange but I found a leather online that is called dark mustard I like! Not a fan of the light tan BMW uses.

I'm not convinced. I think pearl leather would look better. However I'm sure it looks better in the flesh

Mine is the same combination...it's very difficult to get a good pic of the interior, it always looks 'Orange', but it's nowhere near that. When I collected mine from the dealers, it was their first of that combination..everyone, from the salespeeps to the cleaners were drooling over it..I've had her for 5 months now, and every day I get in, I'm just totally and deeply in lust with the combo..........here's some pics, but unfortunately, the walnut still looks orange..honest, it's not !!!!!!

It's very difficult to judge colors from a photo.
I've pasted a small cut from a different photo from the same ad on the leather interior and they have a totally different tint. And those 2 photo's were probably made with the same camera on the same day, so how something looks in reality may be even totally different. Most people don't realise that.

It can make a horrible picture and a great car or vice versa. But only one thing matters, and that is how the car itself looks.

I saw a photo of the concept coupe with this and really thought it was nice. I'm thinking about upholstering my seats a 2 tone with a color close to this and black, the upper leather door panels with this color, the leather armrest around the emergency brake, the small leather pads on the sides of the center console, and the lower dash panel.

I really like the interior colour, just not perhaps a fan with it against red but that's not to say someone likes my colour combo either, that's the point, its personalisation to suit the buyer.

As for the two tints from the same camera on the same day, check out my pics below, taken within minutes of each other and the change is immense just with a change in light direction. In real life its more like the first picture, as the second looks a creamy yellow which its nowhere near like in real life.

True about the light change effecting color as well as each of our monitors setting being different not everyone is seeing the same shades of the colors.

The color of car I am wanting to use this combination of interior on is a dark green metallic and I agree I believe it will look much better with the green than the red.

My neighbour has the Melbourne and walnut combo on his 30i, and I have to say it looks good in the flesh. It's quite a warm colour, and is a bit different than just the plain old black that I have.

Changing the subject about the interior, the exterior (Melbourne red), changes colour dramaticaly, depending on the light source...some times she looks a very deep red, other times, almost orange ....not like the seats though
