Melbourne Red and loving it

Hello Forum.

First post, after 2 weeks of Z4 ownership and complete enjoyment.

Z4 S-Drive 23i M Sport Melbourne Red, Pure White Design, Business HiFi etc.etc.

Comming from a red cooperS (modified 224BHP), the Z4 is a complete contradiction. The MINI is loud, brash and in your face, the Z4 glides and comforts in comparison.

One wonderfull similartity, they both get people smiling, saying "WOW" and have kids pointing and waving.

Great addition to the collection.

Stunning ! Had a look at one last week & thinking of a red one if i decide to take the plunge !

dammit, I was sold on the e89 in Black... then I changed my mind and preferred Deep Sea Blue... now I might just be changing my mind again!

The Melbourne Red changes hue depending on the time of day and hight of the Sun. First thing in the morning it is vibrant, at dusk it is deep and luxurious. For sure in this colour, the car gets noticed by other motorists and pedestrians. So for all for the good.

As for the sound in sport plus mode, I have not noticed any difference, what should I be listening for. Having the speaker upgrade has meant that whilst I fill the music collection from my CDs, I volume has been right up there and I have not heard anything from the exhaust.

My cooperS has a milltek full system and a janspeed manifold and sports cat, it is one VERY LOUD MINI. I love listening to engine, induction and exhaust notes, so as soon as I fill the Hard Disk in the iDrive, ill be listening out for sweeter sounds from the Z.

What a beautiful car - welcome to the forum

I too am a fan of my Zs rear end, though mine is pre- nip and tuck :D Nothing weird about me and my fetish at all...

Love the engine pic too - sad, but I never tire of seeing that gorgeous straight six :driving:
