Meguiars Gold Class Quik Detailer

Maniac

Elite
If nothing else it's worth the money for the smell.. Gorgeous!

It's not exactly as über glossy as they make out but it leaves the paint shiny and water mark free. Worth a tenner!

I'm currently using their ultimate quick detailier as my dodo juice red mist run out. It smells great and beads well but it's no where as good as the red mist in terms of shine/finish.

Still good stuff tho

When do you use this :? is it wash and dry then use?

I use quick detailer between washes on a cleaned, polished and waxed car, but only if the traffic film is light dust. Once it has rained on the car and you've had wet dirt kicked up off the road on the car then I wouldn't risk it as it lifts light stuff but not mud and grit, so you'll scratch the car. I think you can also use it as a clay lubricant, and a drying agent - so spray on a wet car and buff off. Never done either of these though... And of course someone will tell me I have it all wrong now :D

If the car is mostly clean, just dusty, it really lifts the dust off and gives it a nice sparkle. Also refreshes the 'beading'. Let's be clear - it is nothing like 2 coats of top quality wax, but you can make your car look peachy in 10 mins. Need to be fast on the bonnet after driving though, and in the sun - hot metal dries it out real fast and it is proper wipe on / off.

I bought some Megs gold class quick wax at the weekend, as I am wax poor right now due to keeping forgetting to get more dodo juice

It is wipe on/off too - the finish was ok, though it seems quite tacky and was trapping fine fibres from my cloth... Had to gently go over the car again afterwards with a completely clean cloth. What was really impressive was when I went out last night and it rained - the beading was very tight. It will last about 4 days though I reckon - the penalty for laziness :P

I use QD if the car has been in the garage and gathered dust. Clears it off and brings the glossy shine back

For anyone interested in getting this, I prepped the car with two coats of it for the Silverstone Classic event, this is the result;

By far one of the best products I've ever used.

It was the best looking car there in terms of the clarity and depth to the paint. Normally black cars show every mark, but the car looked amazing Gary. A real credit to you mate

Cheers buddy, she does get extra luvvin. I look forward to the results of your detail!

For general use (and especially as a drying aid after washing the car) I use the Meguiars Last Touch detailer, which I buy in bulk (1 US gallon or 3.78 ltr) containers.

I don't think its quite as good as the Gold Class version mentioned by the OP, but following a tip off from another forum I bought some today from Euro Car Parts - its normally £28.90 delivered for 3.78 litres but if you use code bigdeal31 you get 31% off, so £19.94 inc delivery.

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/car-cleaning-accessories/exterior-cleaning/car-detailer/?549775901&0&cc5_761

Bear in mind you dilute it down 1:1 to use it, so it will give you 7,650 ml - or in other words 16 * the normal 473 ml size bottles of detailing spray which works out at less that £1.25 each!!

I've no idea how long the code will work for but good luck if you fancy some.

Holy moley, that's a great deal... I think I am about to buy some !

I can confirm that the bigdeal31 code still works, as I've just bought some items from them using it. Bargain 31% off the bill!
