Meguiars Buckets on Offer

Had an hour to kill this evening waiting for the Mrs in the salon so I popped in the nearby Halfords for a browse. Got myself 3 large (19 litre) Meguiars Buckets in a cheery shade of yellow as they were on offer at £7.20 each, reduced from £10. I've already got grit guards in my old 'builders buckets' so will swap them over and ready to go !

£7.20 for a bucket!

I'll never get the hang of this detailing lark (or believe in Black Friday)!

Phew, I thought it was just me!

No need for detailing world - I'd rather drive my Z4 than clean it!

Never mind detailing - what the hell is clean?

Black Friday? Isn't this the day the few have their purchase price reduced by the contributions of the many who have paid a little extra all year to fund it? Can someone explain how you can overturn the laws of 'you don't get owt for nowt' and 'there's no such thing as a free lunch' for a day. Particularly when shops buy in stock to sell. Who makes money out of this because no one will be doing this for fun.

I suppose the bucket is big enough to put over your head so when you're leaving Halfords no one would know who'd just paid over seven quid for a bucket :)

Ha...I bought these a while back and genuinely feel it's one of the best buys I've made for detailing. Good quality buckets, good handles, colour coded and grit guards. Each to their own eh....

I get the idea of "posh" buckets if they have grit guards.

Otherwise they're just buckets. Not once in my 40+ years of car ownership and washing have I thought: "This would be a lot better if I had a designer bucket"!

You need 3, one for wash, one for rinse and another for wheels. then 3 grit guards. detailing is more expensive than z4 ownership :D

B&Q do plasterer's buckets which are tall and wide enough for decent grit guards. They're £6 each in black and white. But they don't say Meguiars so may not work as well......

 So much hype in the detailing world ask any pro detailer

Thought about these larger buckets myself a lot cheaper from a builders merchants but there is a problem are they gonna fit under the tap in your kitchen sink for some warm water I suppose you fill them in the bath but I will stick to the buckets I have they do the job well enough

To the OP this shows you care about your Z just beware of the Detailing world I used to buy all sorts but then backed off and saved a lot of money
