Megan Racing Coil Overs

Hi everyone,

I am certain this topic is discussed pretty heavily and I have actually read a few posts on here, however didn't find anything related to some Megan Racing Euro Street Series Coil Overs from ECS Tuning.

Does anyone have any experience or may have a good coil-over recommendation.

I have also been looking at the BR Series Coilover Suspension Kit but leaning more towards the Megan racing simplye because of the price.

I've not got experience of either, so can't comment on anything other than what's presented in the links.

Never heard of Megan Racing over here - but as it's an American company I'm not surprised we don't see them over here.

I did notice on my first visit to the Megan Racing website a pop-up claiming all their products are for 'off road use only' - which is strange for a 'street' product. On subsequent visits I don't see that pop-up.

The only 2 coilover products I can see for the e85 are Euro 1 (MR-CDK-E85-EU) or Euro 2 (MR-CDK-E85) series - and the only difference I can spot is the rear spring rates on the Euro 2 are 1kg/mm higher (11kg/mm vs 10kg/mm). The ECS code matches the Euro 2 model.

Not sure what 'Euro-Street' spec means in this context though, as we have every type of road across Europe...maybe it's the higher rear sprint rate for faster roads (albeit only in 1 country).

The lack of detail on ECS or Megan Racing websites don't fill me with confidence either. Even something simple like telling you what range the adjustable ride height offers - which you'd think would be important as they're listing that as a feature. You may find that on it's highest setting it's still too low for your normal road use.

By comparison, the ECS BC-Racing product page has much more information displayed (construction, ride height adjustment amount, etc.) - and as they're a UK company I'm sure some on here has tried them.

Good points. I decided to purchase BC coilovers.
Will see how they install and handle and provide some feedback later.

thanks,
Fadi

Go with KW coilovers. They're pricey but extremely good.
I didn't suggest the pricier KW/Bilstein/Tein/Ohlins/Niton options as the OP mentioned they were on a budget of about $900.
