Meet Dexy

We use pet plan as said they will cover long term conditions for life, we had ours insured for the last 3 years thankfully only claimed once and the vet sorted everything with bills etc so only had to pay the excess, other companies you pay the full amount and claim it back....

Went to get young Dexy today - cried all the way home but soon settled down ( thats Dex not me ! )- seems already to have made himself at home .

I think young Dexy has settled in !

This is Honey, the most inappropriately named cat on the planet... Something of a solar powered sleeping machine, she lies in the sun all day to provide enough energy to sleep all night. That's interspersed with a little dog baiting.

Just an update on my boy Dexy - sleeps all day and hunts all night - this morning left me a present on the kitchen floor - a nice dead mouse ! Tonight I heard the catflap bang and in he strolls with another one only this time its alive - managed to grab it before it disappeared under the sofa ! Young Dex thinks this is hilarious so goes off out again for a repeat performance. Looks like I'll have to keep him outside at night - fortunately we live in the country so he'll be safe - unlike the mouse population in a radius of 5 miles !

Nice! My brother used to live in the country and they had a huge ginger tom cat that used to love to bring home treats. One night he brought back a partially eaten baby lamb and deposited the remains on their doorstep - thankfully it was too big to fit through their catflap! :(

One of mine managed to bring in a live magpie once - which proceeded to flap around the living room all day crapping everywhere !

as for insurance, I use healthy pets

Aaaawe, I'd love to have a cat. Problem is my husband's afraid of them and we also have a big aquarium in our lounge!

One of our cats dragged a live herring gull through the catflap! :o
God! Love to have seen that! Probably very pleased with itself too!

He was, but he was bloody enormous. The neighbours thought we had a miniature black jaguar :D

The other two cats wouldn't come in the house for a day and we also had feathers and (very unpleasant) guano through the kitchen, living room and up the stairs to the landing where he'd clearly finished it off. We were both at work during the bird murder. I couldn't believe the size of the bloody thing, it was a fully grown one and I still have no idea how he got it through the catflap (which was broken)

He left a rabbit head on the bed once (we were in it). It was like a scene from the feline godfather.

Sadly he's dead now. Survived living in Reading and a move to the cotswolds, lived to a ripe old age then got poisoned by a neighbours gardening chemicals :(
