Mrs D6GMB and I have decided its time to get a puppy.
We took some advice from my wifes aunt who lives on a country estate and has 13 dogs, she put us in touch with a lovely guy called Bert
who's wee Border Terrier had just had pups.Went for a look and 2 weeks later went to collect Callie. The first link is a video clip of her fetching and returning a ball, she is only 8 weeks old!!!!(click to play).

very tactile dogs that don,t like being alone , ours sleeps in bed with our daughter
currently considering getting another

My two when a little younger.
Callie looks like a proper "Border Terriorist"
They are great dogs.........and low maintenance.

My wife want a border terrier, if you know a good breeder please pm me. We are in south west London so anywhere south east is good....

Border Terrorist     like that very much Toe-side.
I have never owned a dog before and new they were hard work but honestly where does the day go?.
Got up to let Callie out at 6.30 this morning and the whole day has just about been all planned round about her.
Its great when she goes for a nap then you can get round to sorting out the house etc.

The only downside so far is our wee 2 year old cat Molly is a bit pi$$ed of with us just now,but she is getting lots of attention and Dreamies cat treats but is on a food protest
just hope she gets over it quite soon.
We are lucky with the layout of our house that she can still access her food and litter tray without direct contact with Callie as I think it would be all out war.
She has been close and had a wee sniff when Callie was sleeping but all other times she has been living up stairs  :( .

They should get used to each other  . Border terriers will usually give cats a real hard time so Molly needs to put the pup in her place!
We bought Libby around two years after Rolo and Rolo was not happy for weeks. Now they are great buddies.
Borders fit in with your lifestyle no problems.............can be real fussy eaters which is strange for dogs.

Jealous that your dog is fetching!

We've got two Border Terriers and neither of them will fetch - they just run up bite and lose interest. . .

Great dogs though - but keep on a lead 'cos if they see a squirrel, rabbit or get a scent they are off - no recall 'till they've had enough! Be prepared to wait till they come back filthy wet and out of breath!

Maybe we shouldn't have bought two from the same litter - bitches too - wonder if that makes a difference?

You've got a lovely looking Border!

:driving:

Haha , yeah woeful recall until around 3 yrs old , Ours would bolt after any scent & like you say , only return when 5hit up & exhausted :)
The lady we bought ours off had bred quite a few & her words still ring true , "if you take her be prepared to lose your heart " & she was,nt lying

Gota love a puppy, full of fun.
Hows things mate, havnt seen your car out much...guess your new business is keeping u busy?
Oh,and puppy training,lol

Been really busy lately but things starting to slow down a bit now.
The car has really been in hibernation all this year think it has done about 3k miles  .
Had a bit of a think about selling it a couple of months ago due to the fact that it never gets used but its
bought and payed for and its only running costs I have to shell out for.Its currently on trickle charge under its cover tucked up in the garage.

As for the puppy, she is great fun,she is going for her second jags this Friday then we only have a week to wait till she can get out and about.
Need to take her for a blast in the Z4 with the roof down :) .

Have spotted you a few times but been in my van and you haven't seen me,hows things at your end?.

Not too bad, although not been out in the z as much as I like still managed to rack up 8k miles in 18months,lol.

Not been on the forum much, as been in and out of hospital, wont bore u with details.....but that's kept me out the loop a bit.
Good to see u are busy though..hopefully catchup in the near future.

Have fun walking your new pup in the pouring rain...always hate having to dry my beagle after most walks these days, lol.

What colour, etc is ur van and I will look out for u next time?
