Ok so last Tuesday I was scuba diving in the Red Sea and managed to get some water stuck in my ear!! It's been almost a week now and I still can't get it out!! I've tried everything I can think off but now I'm sick of being able able to hear my own heartbeat all the bloody time!! I've tried Those ear drop things and even jumping up and down!!!

I had to go the doctors last time that happened and was nearly deaf for 2 weeks as I had water/infection/drops/cotton wool in each ear.

Syringe it out at the docs?
You need to be careful because this happened to my son. He got an infection because the water got stuck in there behind the natural wax of the ear. I'd go and get it sucked out if I were you.
On another note, I'm not talking to you because you've been in Egypt and I haven't (not since October anyway!) Where did you go?

GP indeed - and pronto as you will get an infection otherwise.

Could that be the 2nd of 3 uses for a dyson? Vacuuming being number 3?

Number 1 being the Krypton factor trying to assemble the sodding thing when all the pastic bits fall off everywhere? :o

Had one in a holiday home and could not understand anyone wanting to have one.

I would vote for a compressor function here. The blow piece fits perfectly in the ear and a puff of air at 10 bar or so will remove anything that is there, including the hearing.

Lol yeah hearing out but my balance and the feeling of motion sickness is getting worse!!

I get that a lot spear fishing, drives me nuts. have you tried the hair drier? Works for me.

Tilt you head down on the wet eardrum and tun your little finger up there with a thin cloth gently just to move the pressure about not to intrude in your ear.

If its not out thouh it neams you've got an infection and you really want to treat this ASAP. Tropical seawateris not good for infection and without wanting to seem alarmist, you could go death in that ear. :!:

Hold your nose, keep your mouth closed and swallow 3 or 4 times unless you feel pain.
This is the opposite to equalising.
If no joy see your doc

Personally I would not go faffing about putting things in my ear unless a doctor has had a look at it and advised - your hearing is precious - try and get yourself an appointment asap.

Not being alarmist and mentioning death (I assume you meant deaf) in the same sentence

Had this often when diving ... Sometimes it was water, sometimes it was initially water, but had pressed some wax onto the ear drum giving the sensation of water. Definitely get to the GP to get it sorted - if it needs syringing this can also be done by a practice nurse

Tapatalking...

Left too long ....
Well I had to get tubes through the eardrum and fluid vacuumed out ...
Lucky me ..My Doc did this under local anesthetic ...
That pretty much negates putting your head under water for quite a while.
Don't mess around with stuff like this
Damn that Red Sea !
