Mediabridge / Intravee / or something else ?

Hi All!

Looking for a bit of advice. My Z4M has navigation Bluetooth. I'd like to add some functionality to stream music in the car, either via Bluetooth or happy to use USB (if it will also charge the phone).

I have the mediabridge installed in my E46, but was wondering if the Intravee is a better system ?

Should I use the OEM Bluetooth function or swap for another system ? If so, can I keep the factory microphone for the phone function ?

Have read through various threads but was wondering what the latest/greatest thinking is on the subject ?

Intravee needs the apline 420 unit for streaming music, however you get extra controls with the intravee. Yes factory microphone and steering wheel controls all work with intravee.

Extra features:

zoom on sat nav when slowing down or accelerating
triple blink for pre-facelift models
welcome lights (set any combination)
home lights (set any combination)
computer data on screen
autolock
mirror fold doesn't work on the Z4
and a few others.

intravee is mainly for ipod/ipohone, its great bit of can t and i cant really fault it.

the 420 doesnt allow usb but there was a model that did but this feature isnt quick, if yer just after music then it works well

So just to be clear, does the intravee allow for wired connection, but the Alpine 420 is needed for Bluetooth streaming ?

the intravee its self wont support bluetooth, that would be the BMW part already installed (calls only)

the intravee connects to the alpine 420 to allow ipod / iphone support (wired). It will charge iphones some need adapters

no bluetooth music streaming is supported unfortunately

thats forum for the intravee

I use intravee all time, its never failed on ipod use, it shows on screen engine temp, speed, unlocks doors on ignition off, puts windows all way up. Its pretty good tbh
