Hi all,

What tyres are everyone putting on their MCs nowadays? Currently has Michelin PS2s, but these are getting on a bit now so whats the preferred choice?

Lots of good options out there depending on your budget. Perhaps the best overall might be the Michelin Supersport but I reckon any top tire from the higher end manufacturers will be a good choice. The Continental Contisport 5, Goodyear F1 2 etc. If you want something cheaper Hankook and others are consistently doing well at tire tests...

For something a bit more extreme you could take a look at the Yokohama AD08R or the Nankang NS2R
 
A surprise winner from the lastest AutoBild tyre test (19" tyres on a new M3/M4) was the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo.

Don't know whether the performance means the wear rate is rubbish though.

They'd have to be a hell of a saving on the price of the SuperSports to tempt me away though.
 
Think I'll go with the Supersports if they are the the preferred choice... not really worried about the wear rate as the car will be going up for sale soon and it doesn't do many miles anymore.
