Just wondering if I am barking up the wrong tree with this. Bought my '03 3.0 earlier in the year. No mayo on the oil cap when I bought it or for months afterward but since I've changed the rocker cover gasket a small amount of mayo has appeared. Could the two be connected? I can't see how but I thought the more knowledgeable on here might know.
 
When did you change it? Was it a damp day?
Have you been doing short runs? Is it only since the cold weather started?
Normally just condensation causing it so usually a decent long run to properly heat up will clear it all away.
 
Normal if you doing short runs in colder weather. :thumbsup:

Take it out for a good, long drive... see if it returns after the drive. :thumbsup:
 
Sounds like that's the issue, it's a daily at the moment while I wait for a lease car delivery so that must be it. Thanks all.

I agree - take it for a good long run and it will probably boil out the water - otherwise uts an oil change and remove the foam then see what happens.
 
Mine does it every winter, just don't do the long runs this time of year.

Probably just a couple of miles every other day. :|
