Maybe selling up - same dilemma as Rich - as is or stock?

I'm considering selling up my reasonably modded M Coupe - it is just not getting the use it deserves and I think I've maybe got bored of track days.

Anyway I have exactly the same dilemma Rich had when he sold it to me - sell as is or return to (more or less) stock and sell the mods separately?

I have the OE suspension so could do that fairly easily; a set of seats would see the interior back to more or less normal; some other bits will unbolt and I suppose the brakes could be reversed without a lot of trouble but I'd certainly have to leave the manifold and the rear spoiler.

I'd really prefer to sell it as it stands - easier for me, and it is I think a fairly special car which it would be a shame to lose but if you don't want to track it ...

Any thoughts?

Reality is you'll get more for it if sold separate....it's just whether you can be bothered to do that?

Slightly OT but what seats do you have? I'm keen to change my normal M seats as I just don't sit properly in them, could do with them being 1-2inches lower.

Its all down to the ££ asked :? if you want top money then you will be looking for that one buyer who appreciates what you have .
If the price is below what is currently available then you will always get interest .
Some pics would help & of course the history, miles & spec is the major factor in getting a value that appeals to seller & buyer

I have a pair of carbon Tillett B5s.

Well I deliberately didn't add all that stuff her as I didn't this to be the for sale thread.

Re. money I certainly wouldn't sell for less than a standard car would fetch, but I doubt if there is another car like mine for sale to compare with.

So you're looking for a certain buyer
Try a FS ad on the forum + a PH advert at a price you are happy with & see what happen's , selling anything doesn't get any more simpler than its worth what someone else will hand over

personally however id be selling as one, their a buyer form everything it just takes alittle time, BUT the key is getting a balance between an epic track weapon thats still fun on the road....i LOVE trundling to my car along to the shows and just enjoying being in it, the sprint work is just another string to its bow! if you do decide to split i would be interested some some of the parts :-)

If you can't get the price you want for the car as it stands, please sell me your brakes! :D

to give you a idea i wouldnt sell my car for anything less than 35k.... I'm sure people would think I'm mad but... imo its totally justified and i think id get it actually. So what type of price are you thinking ?

your car is pretty much specced with top level upgrades and I'm guessing is one of very few done to that level. I'm not saying upgrades increase value but it certainly isn't devalued.

Depends a bit on whether it was all together - i.e. spare wheels, OE suspension, etc. - but I'd be very happy with £22k all in I reckon.

If you want to sell any of the standard ///M bits, especially the seats, then put me down for them!

OK, think I have decided - will follow the advice and write up an advert for the car and the extras as it stands and see how it goes.

By far the best plan - hopefully it will see the car go to someone who will make the most of all of the modifications and use it to its full potential as you have. GLWTS

No, because I don't have them and never did. The car had Recaro Pole Positions when I bought it - I swapped them out for the current Tilletts and sold the PPs.
