Found out my friend can do powder coating at work.... So me being me I like to experiment and took advantage of this.
I had a look at what I could get done to try this out and thought about the strut supports. I gave them to him on Monday and just recieved them back today.

These are them fitted

I know not everyone will like this sort of thing but Opinions are welcome

Gonna work with your orange calipers Craig - all highlights that add a special touch to your Zed.

Your Zed Looked terrific when you called round the other night.

:driving:

Yeah it's a personal touch but you can go over the top and make it look like something from max power which is not the way am going  but still like to be a little different haha.

It did look well and it has a good shine to it, I do think it looked better when I left yours than when I first arrived... With the sun setting it looks totally different (a different shine)

Now you need to do the same to the struts behind the grille, and then to the strut brace you're going to buy :)

Interesting.... i've been contemplating a strut brace.... and never took much notice of the stock struts,

Looking closely at them, I see there is a kink halfway along, surely this introduces a weak point in the strut and effectively makes it a bit bendy?

PS I like the orange, I want some orange touches on my sterling grey. I have started by not bothering to change the indicators....

The kink is where they bend in a front impact, preventing buckhead damage....... I know from experirence ;)

I like it, orange is a little bright for me personally but think the blue looks great

Pleased with the positive feedback thought I'd give it ago and if I didn't like it change it back but pleased with results.

Cheers everyone

.

From doing a little reading on strut braces it would seem these kinks are designed so if the car has crash impact the brace gives way at that point as opposed to staying rigid & transferring crash damage to the opposite side of the vehicle

Liking the look, remember this could be your downfall to the world of modding :D
I went for a very subtle shade of shiny black.095c05337638af8fbf260a64e3619d6a_zpsafihameu.jpg
