Just been at BMW pricing up a135m and must say very tempted.
Just not sure if couple of months down the line i think oh shite what have I done :o
It's a bit of a dilemma, but that new car smell plays with the brain :headbang:

Don't do it, unless you need four seats. Your car isn't losing any value where as the 135 will

^^^^ THIS

Save up, get one in a couple of years after someone else has taken the massive depreciation hit...

After I seen your car I just loved it - you are only being tempted by the "new house" thing so you know what the script is as soon as you take delivery of the 135 ( well about three days after) you will start to notice the things that are not quite the same or as good as your coupe - and you won't admit it but you will be stuck with it

Doesn't add up for me - but I have to be honest here - can I have first dibbs on your car if you decide to let it go

I wonder what the outcome would have been if I had posted this question
On the BMW 1 forum

They would say "do it", as they are vultures wanting to buy a one year old car for 50% of the new value :D

I have driven one, i was considering a change last year i was going to move from the E46 M3 to one, mainly because of the deals that were going on the M135, and figured (using man maths) that it would be cheaper to PCP an M135 for 3 years, that it was to buy the M3 have it depreciate for 3 years, then replace all the bits and bobs that i had to.

Anyway, fantastic engine, new...... but that was about it to be honest.

Felt a little loose for my liking, and not really a special car...... a decent drive in the M3 changed my mind VERY quickly.

New car i would suggest at the same price range is the GT86.... which is a VERY VERY good car!....... or you can stick with what you got! but i know what its likes to want a change.. i have have the Z4MC for about 2 days now, after having the M3 for 3 and a bit years... i only changed because i wanted a change.

But didn't you buy your Z from new :poke:

I did, but kept it for 7 years as it is a special car.

The 135 on the other hand, is more of a bread and butter car and depreciates massively during the (expected) ownership. I lost £3500 per year over my ownership which I don't think is too bad.

That isn't bad at all...I lost twice that amount on my M3 in 10 months!
