Maxton side skirts v carbon vinyl wrapping

I received my skirts on Friday last week (plain black plastic) and went to a couple of vinyl wrapping places today for quotes. Both companies said they wouldn't do it due to the slightly porous material they are made of and therefore can't guarantee the wrap will stick. One company said it could last a week or it might last 10 years but there is just no guarantee.

Their web site does state carbon fibre as an option for pre facelift models only, and mine is a facelift.

So.................................. has anyone had theirs wrapped and what were the results? My only other option is Hydro Dipped at £75 a side! FFS!

Wrap them yourself. It’s a fairly simple piece to do. I plan on doing mine myself.

Good man! But what I'm asking is has anyone had it done and how long will it last?

Iv had mine done for a year and no issues . Fairly expensive though .

Also they are the same product whether for pre facelift or facelift .

I asked them that question and they said no! Back on the phone to them tomorrow it is then!

Cheers! Maxton have now sorted it! Funnily enough I will receive the Carbon one on Thursday, but had to wait 4 weeks for the plain black plastic one????? :? :? :?

Well the carbon look ones turned up today!

Note to anyone else that may want to buy these, go for the carbon look - so much better finish than the black look. So I need to (well the garage does) glue & screw. Any pointers on which is the best glue?

No glue . Double sided tape and self tappers.
