Maui Jim Sunglasses

When I attended HC 06 I noticed fellow member PhilDZ4's sunglasses. He told me that
as the group style maven he only buys the best: they are Maui Jim Sunglasses.
I had to get some for myself. After scouring the internet I came to the conclusion that they are embarrassingly overpriced. That motivated me even more. I found a recently unemployed Sprint executive standing in a job fair queue over at the local Garmin plant wearing a set. I gave him a reasonable offer for them but he refused. This made me intensify my search. Finally, I got a deal through my eye doctor. These are great sunglasses and now (like Phil) felt like a stylin' biotch myself. Over the subsequent months of ownership I dropped them a few times and popped one of the lenses out and scratched them and chipped an edge. Last month (since the weather sucks) I decided to see if they would fix them under warranty. I sent them (and a check for $8.95) off to sunny Peoria, Il for repair. One week later I got my sunglasses back, not repaired....but a brand new set!!

Hats off to Maui Jim Sunglass warranty. Expensive eyeware...but worth it.

Thanks PhilDZ4, you are like Paris Hilton to me. 8)

Here is a pic of (L to R) JackB1, 20ducks, GabeW, Orcatek and PhilDZ4. Phil is showing how to wear his MJ's after hours and not spilling any beverage.

They are polo shirts. I think Jack had them made for you. The one showing has your wife's name embroidered on it.

MJ's are great but as is a pattern in my life they don't float.
I was playing in the surf in Costa Rica when a big wave hit me and my $300 MJ titaniums were Gone. I searched the wake but never saw them again.
So be warned!

I lost a set of Carrera's on Paradise Island (Pirate's Cove) in about 6" of water and couldn't find them. I know the feeling. No beer but that ganja was hella good. :crazydude:
