Matt’s E85 Z4 3.0 Si (PVR’s old car)

Hi all,

Returning member, I’ve previously had 3 Z4s over the past 15 years or so, but all have been the four cylinder 2.0

I decided when I got another it would be the six, and the 3.0

After a wanted thread, PVR got in touch to say his was for sale as he’d bought an M

After several messages we agreed a deal and I was on the train from Yorkshire to Surrey (all 5 hours of it!)

The car was exactly as described; immaculate. It looks like a car a couple of years old not one with 93k miles! I’ve seen brand new cars with worse paintwork.

Plans are:

Clear rear brake light DONE
Black kidney grills DONE
Air con re-gas (not blowing cold)
Back box mod (thinking ZedShed or straight through pipe)

Pictures to follow. Happy chappy 😎

Nice, congratulations! A lot of time and money went into this and you can really tell.

Please don't say you bought a car from that dodgy Dutchman (or 'Paul-twelve-garages' as he is otherwise known). :D

Dang. Not going to lie, it looks perfect as is. I'm curious on what the black grilles would look like on it though, might spice it up a bit.

It looks great.. very glossy.
And good to see you chose the flat plate style rather than those oh so cheezy gel or 3D plates.
Any thoughts on that little reflector in front of the front wheels? They look excellent when painted body colour.

Looks class Matt. As the yanks would say, she’s a doozie! Or as us Irish would say, she’s a feckin minter! The wheels really suit it too. Good luck with your car.

Thanks, yes I’m not a fan of the 3D style plate. Each to their own of course but not for me. I’ve not really given any thought to the reflector, I’ll probably leave as is.
