Matt paint finishes

Hmmm after seeing this on the E92 M3 I wonder if there will be any availability on the E89. Looks stunning :sweetheart:

Don't like it. Looks too much like they just put the primer on but left the paint off!!! Not a big fan of black wheels either.


Make that baby high gloss black with silver wheels, though...... 8)

Frozen Grey Metallic paint is very nice. I think you can get BMW Bodyshop to respray your car. How is it different from other normal metallic paint (no lacquer)?

But matt paint finishes do not fit all colours though.

Smokin, I think you either love it or hate it. TBH I'd take an E92 M3 in any colour going

ksher, I was getting my SLK serviced two weeks ago and there was a CLS in the showroom with a similar finish. It's weird, it looks and feels just like any other paint apart from the "matt-ness". Still has the lacquer too. It's stunning in the flesh.

Matte black with glossy black wheels and possibly a white highlight in a couple of places might well give me a stubby (aerial).

x2 the M3 doesnt stand out enough over std 3 seires but this I like.

Love matt finishes 8) . Just not in black. I think we'll see more sort of satin finishes around soon.

Would look very interesting if they could fade the matt to gloss at the cars edges/lines

I saw a gloss black Viper the other day with a satin black hood and roof accent, looked very good and very aggressive.

Mmmm usually people don't like it, surprised by positive responses.

This is the CLS I saw in the flesh in the showroom, looks stunning and worth a detour to a Merc dealer to see if they have one. An E89 in this finish would be stunning :sweetheart: :sweetheart:
